This backpack feels tough and ready for the outdoors. The cooler section isn’t just some thin liner like you find on cheap bags. The insulated walls are soft, but hold their shape, and give the bag structure even when it’s empty. That makes a difference when you’re loading drinks, bait, or food and don’t want the whole thing collapsing in on itself. There is ample tackle storage, and the bins fit like they should. There’s a little play, but that makes them easier to slide out and back in when your hands are wet or cold. Zippers are smooth and don’t jam up, which matters when you’re opening and closing compartments because you haven’t memorized where everything is.The canvas material is heavy and feels like true outdoor fabric, not something that’s going to rip at the first snag. With all the buckles, straps, and options, you can set it up to carry the way you like. It feels water resistant but I wouldn’t want it to slip into the water from a slop.

I was a little skeptical when ordering this bag because I wasn't sure it was going to hold all the gear and fishing poles that it claimed, but I have to say that since receiving the bag the straps appear to be made of thick sturdy material and they hold most average sized fishing poles fine. The bag has plenty of storage available and comes with plastic organizers for your tackle. I'm overall pretty happy with the bag and look forward to taking it on plenty of adventures soon!
